High School Boys

Parents are not allowed to be Head Coach of their child in the FBA program. Most of our FBA Coaches played college basketball.

FBA Coaching Assignments (TENTATIVE):

• Jeff Fryer – former college and professional player, former high school and college coach
• Shawn Larkins – Head Varsity Coach at TVT High School, FBA Coach

The registration period for this season is open through May 6.

Teams are to be determined based on evaluations by the coaches.

Late registration is possible provided uniforms are available and incurs a $50 late fee.

What if I play another sport?

It is possible for student-athletes to participate in the FBA Club / Travel season while playing another sport. However, the FBA requires the student-athlete to meet the following requirements:

• Club Team (All Grades): Student-athletes must attend at least 1 practice per week and most of the games.

Given the fact the costs for the team remain constant, the dues for the season remain the same.

Teams will continue from the Spring Season. Players will be added based on coaches decision. Please register online before May 6.

Summer Season:

May 6 - July 21

Every effort will be made to maintain the practice schedule. However, the FBA will have to adapt to the needs of the practice facilities.

We ask that each player bring a ball to every session.

All practices are scheduled in advance and players are expected to attend practices. Teams will normally practice twice per week (one team practice and one skills clinic) for 60 or 75 minutes. Every effort will be made to follow practice schedules as closely as possible, however, things happen. Please be flexible and cooperative when practice schedules need to be changed.

As there are school activities and other commitments, which may conflict with practice from time to time, coaches will work with players and parents individually in those cases. To emphasize player responsibility, the player (and not the parent) who will miss a practice is expected to notify the coach ahead of time that he will miss practice and the reason why. Program basketball players are expected to commit themselves to a rigorous practice schedule, and their team depends on them to do so. Playing time will be affected by unexcused absences or tardiness.

HS Boys Teams (May 6 - July 21 ):

FBA players with advanced fundamental skills who have committed themselves to becoming the best basketball players possible are invited to participate on FBA Teams. These players have excelled in their youth or high school leagues and are amongst the best in their age/grade. They will be exposed to the best possible competition. This team will practice twice per week will participate in local tournaments and/or out of state tournaments. The FBA staff is very careful in placing an athlete on a team that best fits their individual skill level so they can play and develop.

• 4 - 5 Tournaments each session
• May - July
• Uniform included
• social media presence
• Professional High School Coaches

Game Schedule (TENTATIVE):

• May 18-19: Tournament
• June 1-2: Tournament
• June 15-16: Tournament
• July 13-14: Tournament
• July 20-21: Tournament

Cost includes the following: Tourney entry fees, gym rental, insurance, coaching stipends, equipment, and all administrative costs.

Boys HS Season:

• Full Payment: Full Payment: Payable by May 6, 2024 = $895
• OR Payment Plan: Started beore May 6, 2024: $315 non-refundable deposit at time of registration and TWO monthly payments of $315 due on the same day, each month.

Uniforms:

• New Players: Cost includes a uniform.
• Returning Players: Keep same uniform from the previous season.

Financial Assistance:

Financial assistance may be available for certain circumstances of financial hardship. Families must apply and be qualified to receive assistance. The approval process will be evaluated by the FBA administration. Full assistance is available in exceptionally rare situations.

Refund Policy:

• Requested by May 6 = Full refund minus $295 deposit
• Requested by May 27 = 50% refund
• After May 27 = NO REFUNDS
• A season ending injury = A prorated credit for future FBA activities.

NO EXCEPTIONS to the refund policy stated above.
